E-Waste Donation Guidelines

Operating System: Windows 7 or higher/ChromeOS/Linux/macOSX lion and higher 

Battery: Must be included 

Hard drive: If included should be wiped completely of personal data memory 

Model Year: 2014 or higher 

Outer shell: Must be intact (Dents and scuffs are fine, no major cracks) 

Charger: Include if possible 

Screen: Intact and Functional

Keyboard: All keys must be functional (broken/missing keycaps are fine, make sure the switch itself is functional) 

Disclaimer: ClosingTheDivide is not responsible for the misuse, deletion, or selling of personal data once the computer is given from the donor. Please remember to wipe your computer clean to prevent this from occurring. Once a computer is donated, retrieval is inconvenient and most likely impossible please be sure you don’t need the computer before donating in the case you find out on short notice we have a two-day return policy after this requests will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

E-Waste Donation Process

First, fill out the form by clicking on the button above with details on your computer and your contact information. If you don't have a computer and would like to help our cause feel free to donate money which we will use to speed up the repair process and buy new parts. You will receive a message from our team detailing the next steps in the donation process. From here you inform us where you want the computer to be collected. Give us the date and time and if we are available we will come and collect it.
